BEFORE - Original Styles was commissioned to carry out the restoration work to this antique Georgian marble surround within St James Square in London. The marble surround was dirty from many years of dirt build up.

1h. During - Marble Repairs

The surround had also suffered damage to parts of the carving. A leg on one of the horses was missing as well as some other small sections of moulding.

AFTER - Original Styles carried out a fine hand carved replacement leg out of old statutory marble.

The marble surround was dirty and heavily stained from hundreds of years of use as a working fire. The surround had also suffered damage to parts of the carving under the Shelf. There were 5 noticeable cracks and a marble block that had crumbled away within the moulding.

BEFORE - Original Styles was commissioned to carry out the restoration work to this antique Georgian marble surround within St James Square in London. The marble surround was dirty from many years of dirt build up. Original Styles cleaned the marble surround using various procedures including the use of poultices to draw out deep dirt and stains.

AFTER - Attention to detail can be seen in the extent to which we removed all the dirt from the detailed carved areas. Once the marble was fully clean and dry, a wax seal polish was applied as was traditionally used and buffed to a shine.
